2400 X 580mm Treated Pine 42mm Square Fence Extension

Online Ordering / Quoting System

These 2400 X 580 treated pine 42mm square fence extensions are well priced and are commonly used when matching up with existing fence extensions or when you are not wanting a block out fence extension.

We would recommend you use our 2400 X 580 42mm square hardwood fence extensions if we have them in stock unless you are matching up with existing lattice. They are the same price in hardwood and these will generally outlast treated pine.

The legs used for this extension are 45mm wide and 20mm thick

These panels are not generally not stocked, they are made to order. The lead time will depend on how many panels you are after and how busy we are. Below is a rough indication of the wait time you can expect.

Amount of panels Lead time
1-4 1-3 days
5-10 2-4 days
11- 20 2-5 days
20 + 3-5 days

Fence extensions are relatively easy to install

The panels slip over the palings with the short leg going on the rail side and the long leg going on the paling side.

The fence extensions will generally straddle the posts unless they are exposed at the top of the fence.

If you have capping on your fence it is easiest to install from the rail side of the fence if possible, as usually the rails will be flush with the capping. If installing from the paling side you will need to position timber chocks behind the long leg before screwing into the palings and through to the rail on the other side.

We recommend 75mm galvanized chipboard screws for normal paling fences, as these are sufficient to screw through the leg into the palings and through to the rail on the other side. We do sell these.

$5 for 15 screws (enough for installing 5 panels)

$10 for 30 screws (enough for installing 10 panels)

$20 for 60 screws (enough for installing 20 panels)

We are now offering an installation service

This is ideal for those who don’t have

  • The know-how
  • The time
  • The tools

If this is something you are interested in then please email us photos of your fence line along with measurements if you have them so we can assess the job and work things out from there.

We are only offering a basic installation service, if your fence line is sloping and you are wanting the extensions to be altered onsite before being put up we would recommend using a tradesmen instead.

If it is a job that we are unable to assist you with we will recommend a tradesmen that is more suited to the job.
