These basket-weave fence extensions aren’t generally recommended due to their poor durability. They are suitable for when you are matching up with existing extensions of the same style. They can be made in various heights to match up with your existing extensions. If you are after a different height and are matching up with existing extension or just need a custom height please contact us directly via email.
Generally if you are after a blocked out fence extension style like this one we would recommend our heavy duty woven fence extensions as these will be much more durable. If you are after this design of extension we would recommend our 2400 X 500 small slat hardwood woven fence extension, as it will be much more durable than this product.
These panels are made from 35 X 9mm fine sawn treated pine.
The legs used for this extension are 45mm wide by 20mm thick
The short leg would be 740mm. This sits on the rail side of the fence.
The long leg would be 900mm. This sits on the paling side of the fence.
If you can’t find your suburb on the list try and find one nearby as we will most likely be able to deliver at a similar or identical cost.

These panels are not generally not stocked, they are made to order. The lead time will depend on how many panels you are after and how busy we are. Below is a rough indication of the wait time you can expect

Fence extensions are relatively easy to install
The panels slip over the palings with the short leg going on the rail side and the long leg going on the paling side.
The fence extensions will generally straddle the posts unless they are exposed at the top of the fence.
If you have capping on your fence it is easiest to install from the rail side of the fence if possible, as usually the rails will be flush with the capping. If installing from the paling side you will need to position timber chocks behind the long leg before screwing into the palings and through to the rail on the other side.
We recommend 75mm galvanized chipboard screws for normal paling fences, as these are sufficient to screw through the leg into the palings and through to the rail on the other side. We do sell these.
$5 for 15 screws (enough for installing 5 panels)
$10 for 30 screws (enough for installing 10 panels)
$20 for 60 screws (enough for installing 20 panels)
We are now offering an installation service
This is ideal for those who don’t have
- The know-how
- The time
- The tools
If this is something you are interested in then please email us photos of your fence line along with measurements if you have them so we can assess the job and work things out from there.
We are only offering a basic installation service, if your fence line is sloping and you are wanting the extensions to be altered onsite before being put up we would recommend using a tradesmen instead.
If it is a job that we are unable to assist you with we will recommend a tradesmen that is more suited to the job.
