Red Iron Bark 42mm X 19mm Vertical Batten Screens
We use the 35mm X 9mm fine sawn treated pine paling pieces to make up this lattice design, which is staple fixed together. With the tighter square openings that are included in these panels, this Lattice style offers more privacy to your backyard area. This profile of lattice is a great option for roses or vines that need palings to graft onto.These are also commonly used underneath verandas, outdoor decking, side gates or behind BBQ areas.
We can make our batten screens using Australian Red iron bark 42mm X 19mm battens .Red Iron bark is an ultra durable Australian hardwood that is a class 1 with an expected durability of over 60 years above ground! It has a deep red rich complexion similar to a deep red Merbau complexion. The profile uses 19mm battens on edge with 16mm spacing. We believe this is the best aesthetically pleasing profile with visibility only when you are looking front on when you look at the screening at more than a 20 degree angle you notice there is no transparency because of the depth of the profile. All of our screw fixings are done from the back so no screws are visible from the front making for a cleaner finish. The backing supports 42mm X 19mm are also positioned no more than 600mm apart to prevent any twisting.
Red ironbark is most commonly used outdoors for front fences and stand alone structures where durability is a focus for the customer.
