Our Spotted gum 42mm X 32mm internal pool screens have been our most popular profile in this range, with spotted gum being a highly sought after class 1 hardwood set to last over 40 years externally, it is popular because of the varied colour range that you find in spotted gum battens ranging from light grey to red with several tones in between.
Our internal pool screens are a great alternative to traditional glass pool fencing. This modern screening design where we pass your desired tubing (galvanised steel, powder coated steel or copper,) through the center of the battens has been a popular choice for screening for front fences as well as screening off pool areas. Our galvanised steel option is the thickest of the tubing we use having a 2.6mm wall thickness, where as the copper is at 1mm which is why we recommend having the copper section sleeved. By sleeving the copper on top it improves the rigidity whilst still allowing it to be curved onsite to suit your applications. We have suggested parameters in which the screens can be curved to which we can send through.
To install these screens you can either drill pilot holes through timber posts either side and feed the tubing of the panels through those holes and rear fix through the back of the post to secure the tubing and panel in place. Or alternatively flange sockets can be bolted to the inside of the posts where the tubing can be slotted in and fixed through the socket into the tubing. With either method of installing you will need to ensure the gap spacing between the end of the last batten and the inside of the post does not exceed 100mm as this will fail compliance standards listed in AS1926.1 for pool fencing.
Our standard panels are 1200mm X 2000mm and standard gate width in this profile is 1200mm X 918mm. The standard spacing in between battens works out at 75mm. We also sell the self closing hinges and latch kits that go with these gates.
