These Horizontal 2400 X 580mm treated pine fence extensions will be:

Pool compliant
relatively blocked out helping ensure adequate privacy and security from neighbours and strangers
a modern design of screening off the top of your fence

These fence extensions are constructed with 35 X 9 mm treated pine slats. The slats are graded to maximize the quality and durability of the panels. However, unless you are matching up with existing panels we would recommend you purchase the 2400 X 580 hardwood horizontal fence extensions. These are the same price and are a better product due to the fact that they are made from a stronger more durable material.

If we are out of stock of our 2400 X 580 hardwood horizontal fence extensions and you need to purchase these panels we would recommend that you paint or stain over the pine panels, as it will improve the durability of the panels. The panels will still last without staining but coating the timber will improve its durability.

*This design of extension has two sides as shown in the photos. This means we will either have two long legs at 900mm each and you can cut down the legs based on if you have the rails or paling side. Alternatively we can have a short leg and a long leg if we are told which side the rail side is on and which side you want the good side of the panel to be facing.

For example if you have the posts and rails on your side of the property and want to be looking at the good side of the panel we will attach the short leg on the front of the panel. Likewise if you have the paling side of the fence and want to see the good side of the panel the long leg will be placed on the front.

Product Specifications

The panels are made from 35 X 9mm fine sawn treated pine slats.

The gap between the slats is 6mm making the extensions pool compliant

The legs are 45mm wide and 20mm thick made from treated pine

The short leg will be 720mm or 900mm. This sits on the rail side of the fence.

The long leg will be 900mm. This sits on the paling side of the fence

We make these panels to order.
Typically, turn around time for these extensions is 10-14 days depending on supply/ material availability.
Delivery for extensions is available AUS wide.

Please note that the Corral style extensions made with Treated pine or the 20mm and 35mm styles may take 3 weeks to manufacture as these are produced off site.

Please note, for interstate customers, our fence extensions will not be legged to avoid damage during transit. The legs will be delivered and bundled separately.
Freight costs are weight and location dependant via 3rd party source.

Please allow 14-20 days for all custom fence extension orders, or capped extension orders.

Installation

Fence extensions are relatively easy to install

The panels slip over the palings with the short leg going on the rail side and the long leg going on the paling side.

The fence extensions will generally straddle the posts unless they are exposed at the top of the fence.

If you have capping on your fence it is easiest to install from the rail side of the fence if possible, as usually the rails will be flush with the capping. If installing from the paling side you will need to position timber chocks behind the long leg before screwing into the palings and through to the rail on the other side.

We recommend 75mm galvanized chipboard screws for normal paling fences, as these are sufficient to screw through the leg into the palings and through to the rail on the other side. We do sell these.
